The Last Finished Top For 2014

When I woke up today, there was beautiful frost on our trees. Probably not exciting to many of you, but we don't get pretty things where I live too often!

I was hoping to have this quilt done, but a top is all I have for my last work of 2014. I had to take advantage of the snowy ice to at least grab some pictures. Below zero here with the windchill is very rare, so if the pictures all look the same to you, sorry!

And one more that shows the quilt a tiny bit better. I sort of forgot it was the quilt I was trying to photograph and not the trees!

I purchased my fabrics from Fort Worth Fabric Studio and I believe they are on sale right now!

Wishing you all a Happy New Year! May it be full of health and happiness :)

  1. Happy New Year to you as well! I think that getting another quilt top pieced is still a big accomplishment. Your photographs of the trees and quilt are beautiful, and it looks like it is going to be a really fun quilt when it is finished.

  2. The quilt is beautiful! And I live in South Louisiana. If we get even a little bit of frost or heaven help us SNOW we go crazy with pics. Lol. I totally get that!

    1. Thank you Kristen! It's snowing like crazy now. I wish the quilt was complete for pictures! Happy New Year :)

  3. Your quilt top is adorable. And I enjoyed the pictures. So thanks for sharing.

  4. What incredible frost! Your Christmassy quilt top looks fabulous against the white. What a great finish for the end of the year! Happy New Year! Come on 2015!

  5. Your quilt top is very cute and it looks perfect against the frosty branches, couldn't be a better setting for a Christmas quilt! Happy New Year Christine!!

  6. Hi Christine! Your quilt is adorable and the photos with little snow so beautiful! x Teje

  7. So cute. It's a shame you didn't get to finish it for Christmas, but, luckily, Christmas will come again, and again. Love the frost photos. Happy New Year.

  8. Christine I love the Christmas quilt! Great job! You picked really adorable fabrics. I thought I had seen every kind of snow and ice winter could put out - but the frost on the branches in your lovely photos is something completely surprising for me. Really spectacular! I wuld have forgotten it was my quilt I wanted to photograph too. LOL

  9. So pretty Christine! I am determined to make a Christmas quilt this year I just don't have many holiday fabric lines so not much to choose from. I love your frosty trees. We've had a weird winter this year. It snowed in September and was really cold but it's been in the 50's since November. Not very wintery for my area at all.
    Happy New Year!

  10. Lovely quilt and lovely photo shoot! So nice of the weather to cooperate. I'm going to have to become more creative in quilt photography.

  11. Your quilt is so pretty. Love the fabrics and seeing all the ice. We do not get any of that at all like that here. Hope you are having a great weekend.

  12. I can't look at those sweet reindeer without smiling -- they're hysterical! Leave it to Riley Blake to produce such fun Christmas prints and to you for putting them to use in a quilt that is sure to be treasured. : )
