Peak Hour #2

I finished up another Peak Hour quilt yesterday.

It is almost like my first one. I still like the first one better, but I'm trying to use up what I have on hand. For those that may not know, the fabric is Peak Hour from Riley Blake. You can still find some here at For Sew It Seams 2 on Etsy. The white is Kona cotton and binding is a solid shade of orange from Northcott.

I had a piece saved for the backing but it was just an inch too small so I used this Bungalow Stripe from Michael Miller.

I made this one a little bigger than the last one was. It finished at 36.75 x 40.25. This is a pattern I just came up with myself. I laid things out and added the white where I wanted it. It makes for a cute quilt without using a lot of prints. My first Peak Hour has been my most popular and most viewed quilt so far. Yardage of the car strips is almost impossible to find now. I love this line for a boy and wish they would re print! I do have a couple fat quarter bundles still and need to think up a new design for them. I have listed this in my Etsy shop, Sold. Thanks for stopping by!

  9. Thanks for visiting my blog. I LOVE this quilt! Great job!
Also, I always like it when I see some really boyish crafts; there somehow always seems to be more made for girls.

  10. Cute. I LOVE that Bungalow Stripe for the backing. I normally prefer pieced backs, but that looks great just by itself.
